The Why not assosiates

The best typography i have seen has being from my favorite designers the why not associates, looking at their work always gets me kick started on a project when im stuck.

crawley library
typographic tree columns created in collaboration with gordon young at crawley library.




blackpool climbing towers
collaboration with artist gordon young. a set of two, 20 metre high towers, blackpool england. cast in black concrete with white granite inserts, the towers have been specifically created for climbing.



cursing stone
collaboration with artist gordon young. 7.5 ton granite boulder situated in carlisle, england. inscribed with a curse issued by the arch-bishop of glasgow in 1525. the reiver pavement features the names of the families on whom the curse was directed



eric morecambe
collaboration with artist gordon young. typographic memorial featuring lyrics, jokes and catch phrases celebrating british comedian eric morecambe, situated in morecambe, england.


pobl + machines
 collaboration with artist gordon young. letter shaped seats for the national waterfront museum, swansea, which charts the industrial heritage of wales. the seats spell pobl (welsh for people) + machines and each letter represents an item located in the museum. 



walk of art
collaboration with artist gordon young. a one-hundred-metre pathway of names laser cut in chequer plate steel for the yorkshire sculpture park. a fund-raising venture where over 5,000 visitors payed to have their name inscribed on the path.




brunel academy
wo typographic art works for britain's first academy in collaboration with gordon young. school entrance wall featuring wishes made by the academy's students and a giant neon sign spelling out the words dream and aspire.
